Southern Flounder
Paralichthys lethostigma
A sideways sand ninja with both eyes upstairs.
Southern Flounders begin life swimming upright with one eye on each side. As they grow, one eye migrates and the fish settles flat against the seafloor as a camouflaged hunter.
